Aldona Nowak
Born and raised in Poland, Aldona Nowak immigrated to Canada in 1986, bringing with her a deep appreciation for family, culture, and community. Now based in Stouffville, Ontario, Aldona has been a dedicated registered nurse since 1994, working in diverse healthcare settings, including hospitals, long-term care homes, public health, and as a nursing instructor at several colleges and universities across Ontario.
As a mother, Aldona cherished reading and telling stories to her two children when they were young — moments that inspired her lifelong passion for storytelling.
“Sharing stories with my kids was always a special time for me,” Aldona recalls. “That’s when I realized the power of storytelling.”
Today, Aldona beautifully blends her love of nursing, education, and storytelling to inspire and empower others — from children and teens to adults and nursing students. Through her books, she hopes to encourage healthy habits, kindness, and big dreams in readers of all ages, while also promoting awareness, inclusion, and the celebration of diversity. Her stories reflect her belief that every person — no matter their background — has the power to learn, grow, and make a positive difference in their community and in the world.
